Rome is the one of best historical series.It has two seasons,which give us really good information about first and second ceasers.Moreover this serie show us to how roman repuclic become roman empire and we can see it at the sight of public.
Gaius Julius Ceaser was commander of roman legions and very close friend of consul(president of republic).After his victory in Gaul,people love him and it scared senate.People loved Ceaser,because he is symbol of power for Rome and he make them rich in battles.Senate thought that this love make Rome a empire but ceaser didn't want a crown.Some senators spoke with consul and they tried to unarmed him.They called him to Rome without his soldiers.He got angry and ignored that and built a camp near of the Rome.He has got only three legions agains senate's 10 legions.Because of experience of Ceasers army,they won an incredible battle.Ceaser enter the Rome as a conquerer.After all of that Ceaser show his forgiveness for senate and nobilities which betray to him.He tried initiate a peace age but Ceaser was a conquerer and rome didn't usual to this situation.Some senators waited for a chance to remove him.Then they tried to persuade Brutus(very close friend of Ceaser) to kill Ceaser but he didn't accept.Nobility waited for Brutus,unless he do it,anybody could.Because Ceaser couldn't killed by a normal people.They needed a man who has a strong name and power for being saviour of Rome.Senators made anything to make them enemy.They published a speech with Brutus' signature.After that Ceaser offered being governor of Macedonia.It made Brutus crazy.He thought that Ceaser trusted him and it was a big disappointment for Brutus.
Nobility couldn't be patient because Ceaser love people.He tried to make a more balanced senate and he made normal people senators.They made a plan and killed Ceaser with 27 blade hit.Brutus was the last one and Ceaser just stop and looked him.He couldn't say anything.

this series aired in Turkey a couple of years ago. I think it was on Cnbc-e. honestly, I didn't watch it at that time. ı wasn't really interested in roman history back then. but one of my friends was a huge fan of the series. she was constantly talking about it. as far as I can remember she really liked the costumes of the actors. she told me that they were really good.
